2007 Annual Meeting
A Letter From Our President.

2007
January 13, 2007

Dear Member of the Eureka Heritage Society:

I am writing this letter to thank you for your past support of the Eureka Heritage Society and to welcome you to our 2007 Annual Meeting.     We will again, as has become our custom the past few years, be honoring some of Eureka’s wonderful historic structures as part of the Eureka Main Street Historic Marker Program.  The enclosed flyer briefly describes this year’s award winners.

In addition, as a special treat we will be holding our meeting in the Historic Eureka Theater (pictured above).   You will have an opportunity to view this wonderful restoration effort and, believe it or not, watch an original 35 mm film titled Symphony in Black starring Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday.  Just like an old time theater experience there will popcorn and soda pop available.  I believe you will really enjoy this famous short film of the legendary Duke Ellington and the yet unknown Billie Holiday making her film debut.

In addition to the awards program and film, we will be electing officers for the 2007 year. The nominated officers are on the enclosed flyer, and further nominations may be accepted from the floor.

Enclosed with this letter is the Proxy for our annual meeting along with a notice and envelope for your 2007 dues if you have not yet paid them.   I hope you will consider continuing your support of our wonderful organization,

Best regards,

2007
