2008 Summer Event

Eureka Heritage Society Summer Event

Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Historic Falk,
Headwaters Forest Trailhead off Elk River Road.

A Two Part Program: Part One was a Lecture with Jon Humboldt Gates, author of "Falk's Claim" who spoke at 11:00 AM.
Part Two was a Guided (two mile round trip) Walk!
Julie Clark, Headwaters Park Ranger, led a tour to Historic Falk with a stop at the newly reconstructed Train Barn.
Bill Hole, Professor of Construction Technology at College of the Redwoods, addressed the reconstruction of the Train Barn.

Perfect weather. A lovely walk in the woods. Music was provided by Lee Simmons and Jim Piehl.
